The Narad Purana, also known as the 'Naradiya Purana', is one of the eighteen major Puranas. It is a Vaishnava Purana, narrated by Sage Narada himself. It is one of the eighteen Puranas written by Sage Vyasa.The Narad Purana includes detailed descriptions of various subjects such as education, rituals (Kalpa), grammar, astrology (and mathematics), and prosody (Chanda-Shastra). It also provides comprehensive details on the worship of God.

Narad purana ki Katha: The Narad Purana, also known as the 'Naradiya Purana', is one of the eighteen major Puranas. It contains 207 chapters and 22,000 verses. Sage Narada narrated it to the four great mind-born sons of Brahma: Sanaka, Sanandana, Sanatana, and Sanatkumara. This was later recounted by the great sage Suta to an assembly of 26,000 sages led by Shaunaka in Naimisharanya. The Narad Purana is divided into two parts: the Purva Bhaga (first part) and the Uttara Bhaga (second part).
Purva Bhaga: The first part of the Narad Purana consists of 125 chapters. It details the creation of the universe, the application of mantras, and the procedures for rituals and vows in four chapters. It also includes an index of the eighteen Puranas and the number of verses in each. This part covers various steps of knowledge, historical narratives, secret religious rituals, the nature of dharma, and the importance of devotion. It contains unique and extraordinary stories, as well as information on grammar, etymology, astrology, and the stories associated with the vow-dates of the twelve months.
Uttara Bhaga: The second part of the Narad Purana has 82 chapters. It is divided into the six limbs of the Vedas, which are education, rituals (Kalpa), grammar, etymology (Nirukta), prosody (Chanda), and astrology (Jyotisha).
