Vishnu Purana Ki Katha:The story of King Jadbharat has been mentioned in Vishnu Purana. Through their story, humans have been told how a human being attains the animal form. Let us know from the story of Jadbharat in Vishnu Purana how a man gets his next birth.
Death is considered just a stage in the journey of the soul because the end is of the body and not of the soul. The soul is original and its journey does not last till one body. It has to pass through many bodies and there is some reason behind meeting each body. This has been told in Vishnu Purana, Geeta and other scriptures. But the goal of the soul is not to wander, rather it has to attain Paratattva i.e. salvation. Moksha is when the soul unites with God. To attain God, the soul acquires different bodies, but being trapped in the cycle of only one desire, the soul has to go to different births again and again.

The story of Jad Bharat is that he was a great saint king. He also followed the people religiously. But one day it happened that while he was taking bath, a deer jumped into the river running away in fear of the lion but could not cross the river. The deer was pregnant and gave birth in water. She gave birth to a deer and died there. Seeing the deer babies, the king took pity on them and took them to his palace.

King Jadbharat started raising that deer like his own child. The deer also started loving the king very much and kept playing in front of the king, seeing which King Jadbharat became happy. The king's fascination with the deer's child increased. And gradually he grew old and died. But even at the time of his death, his fascination with that deer did not end and he kept thinking about her. The result was that he had to change from a human form to an animal form and he himself came into the womb of that deer and his next birth was in the form of a deer. In this way, it is told in this story that the feelings with which a person feels at the time of death are the same with which he gets the next birth. It is also said in Geeta that, only those whose mind remains focused on God at the time of death attains salvation, but it is very difficult because the same feelings with which a person is feeling throughout his life, dominate his mind at the time of death.

You must have noticed that after the death of someone in the house, if a child is born within a few years, then people say that the same family member has returned to your house in the form of a child. Actually, it shows the person's attachment and desire towards his family. Because man is not able to quickly escape from the attachment of his desires and family. In Garuda Purana, the importance of karma has been stated, according to which a person gets the next birth according to the karma he performs. Therefore, karma and desire (vishnu puran reason of next birth karma and kamna) both are considered to be the reason for the next birth of a human being.
