About Vamana Purana Ki katha: The Vamana Purana is one of the eighteen Puranas composed by Vedavyasa of Hinduism. Vamana Purana is fourteenth in the list of Puranas, Pulastya Rishi himself has said this to Naradji. The greatness of Lord Sri Hari Vishnu is narrated in this Purana. Based on the Vamana avatar of Lord Vishnu, this Purana seems to be a Vaishnava Purana. But Vamana Purana is actually a Shaiva Purana because in this Purana a detailed description of the glory of Lord Shiva is found.
